DASH, NYC

Over the weekend I took a visit to one of the greatest fashion capitals of the world NYC! The window displays made me want to take pictures of everything and made me realize ohh just how much I miss it! One thing I was eager to see was the DASH store owned by the Kardashians. Located in Soho, with a TV show filmed all around it I had my hopes set high that this place was going to be fabulous! However, after all the hype of these DASH stores and the Kardashians being fashionistas themselves I was very disappointed in what I saw. Designer names, a lot I haven’t heard of before probably because the prices were so high. Basic cotton stretchy dresses that the Kardashians are known for were going for $300-$400, basic t-shirts were over $100, and even a sequins jacket going for $800. They also had Lakers t-shirts and sweatpants to support Kholes hubby Lamar and of course a collection of the Kardashian parafernalia (their book Kardashian Konfidential, Quick trim, Kim’s fragrance) and not to mention a water bottle with their picture on it going for $10 and people were buying them! The stuff they had was all great and glamorous but wouldn’t you think that their shop would have a little more of a variety in price range with such a large amount of fan base. I mean with making an estimated $65 million last year alone I don’t think it would break their bank to much to add a little more reasonably priced merchandise. But gosh I still do love them! LOL!!

On the guys side they have a variety of different t-shirts, button-up shirts, and great ties and hats to match! Very cute, small boutique… and although the designer names they sell might seem pricey they are always having great sales… so you might just end up with a steal! Breathe-Pittsford, NY

I was recently driving through Pittsford when this boutique caught my eye on South Main Street and I just had to stop and see what it was all about. So what caught my eye? The design of the outside of the boutique, very simple yet with the simple heart window décor it kept you wondering what was inside. Therefore when I stepped inside I wasn’t surprised to see anything but amazing… and I just didn’t know where to start.  I was greeted by mannequins in the latest NYC fashions and surrounded by the fresh aromas of the boutique. They have designers such as Ella Moss, Common Thread, Free People, Paige Denim, and the famous yoga line lulu lemon and just about any hard tail you can think of. This place is perfect for just about anything… to shop for a night out on the town, to get some new yoga apparel or take a class to meet new people or just meet a friend for a nice refreshing all natural smoothie at their juice bar. I highly recommend you check this place out and I guarantee you will not be disappointed! They also have a great line of mens stuff! They are located on 19 South Main Street in Pittsford, or you can visit their website to learn more about all the different things they offer at http://www.breatheyoga.com/pcms/?f=home

What Women Want Event 1/30/2011

Last weekend I went out to the event “What Women Want” at Burgundy Basin, which is an event held every year for women. This event had everything from merchandise, to hair extensions, to food merchants. A few of the fashion booths that really stood out to me I took pictures of the merchandise and did a little description.

Happi Feet and Happi Hands… was a booth displaying jewelry for your feet and hands. These are very cute to put on for a summer party with sandals or on your hands for any type of event, just a cute extra something to jazz up a boring outfit. These are all handmade, and although the owner and maker of the product Regalia Enterprise does not have a website she does have a store you can visit. She is located on 15 Del Verde Road in Rochester.

Another Vendor that caught my eye was Premier Designs Jewelry. This is a privately owned business and the owner comes to your house for parties with you and your friends and explains the jewelry in her collection. All the jewelry is made in the United States and the stones are from the best distributors of the world. This line was unique, affordable and had something for everyone. If you are interested in learning more about this line you can visit their website at http://www.premierdesigns.com/.

Francesca’s, a boutique located right in Eastview mall is a great stop for anyone looking for something unique. This store has cute things for work, a party, a special date or just a night out on the town with friends. They had a little booth set up at the event and many things caught my eye but two of my favorites were there silver ballet flats with gemstones, and the tan clutch with medal studs around it. The best thing about this store is it is very affordable for the great pieces you can find!

Bubilu, a past employer of mine was also at the event showing off the great stuff they sell. This is a great place to go for a one-of-a-kind bathing suit to show off on a vacation or over the summer hanging out with friends and family. They have bathing suits from some of the most popular designers such as Betsey Johnson, Lucky, Ed Hardy, and Becca. However, bathing suits and summer apparel is not the only thing they sell. They have sweaters, robes, pajamas, yoga gear, sandals, jewelry, Thymes (a bath and body line) and the awesome make-up Too Faced! If you haven’t checked them out, I advise you do you can find some great stuff for any age and they are always having deals!! They are located on 219 South Main Street in Canandaigua; you can also visit their website at http://www.bubilu.com/.

The last booth that caught my eye was Sweet Pea Diapers, an eco-friendly service. With going green becoming such a trend in today’s society I thought this was an awesome idea. Their main service is getting people to use cloth diapers that are reusable. They have different packages and pricing depending on how much you want to spend.  Although the packages look a little expensive, they are really very reasonable because it would be able to same amount if you were buying disposable diapers, and these are one step closer to having a healthier environment. They also have all organic soaps, lotions, and baby care products that would be great for an expecting mom! To learn more about their service and products you can visit their located at 2032 East Main Street in Rochester or browse their website at http://www.sweetpeadiapers.com/.
